We
have started four pilot projects in different areas of Pakistan
with varied environments. |

Community Development and Economic Uplift |
Location: Dhok Jawinda village,
10 KM short of Attock City
|
Started work in March 2003. Since then we have done following
works:

Baseline survey of population (250 households) in terms of
income/poverty, population, facilities etc.

Provision of basic health facilities free of charge.

Provision of learning center (internet based)
-
Introduction of best practices in agriculture and land
management through adoption of alternate crop that provides
more premium
-
Structuring / organization of community into CBOs. (tanzeems)
to provide empowerment.

Provision of tube wells at various locations to
ensure availability of water
-
Generation of income generating programs especially for
widows and less privileged persons.

Advocacy of value-based society through regular meetings of
villagers.

Rehmet Clinic
& Learning Center
|
Location: Dhok Jawinda village,
10 KM short of Attock City
|
A free medical clinic and computer learning center has been
operating since March 2003, for addressing health and education
needs of the local village residents. Computer Learning Center
is equipped with latest computing and internet facilities in
order to allow the village residents connect to the global
village.

Tent
Village for 2005 Earthquake Rehabilitation

Mansehra

In partnership with Imra Welfare Foundation UK, we
established a base camp in Mansehra where 200 Earthquake
affected families were provided shelter, tents, food rations and
security for almost 3 months. We managed two tent villages for
100 families each. Tube wells were also dug to
provide clean water to the affectees. A school was also
established for the children. |

2005
Earthquake Relief Operation

In partnership with Rahimiya School, we provided food, shelter and relief to the
worst affected families stuck in the remote mountainous villages
in Battagram area. |

Financing |
So far all
projects have been undertaken from funds generated through the
contributions from the Al'Muash management and philanthropists in
Pakistan and UK. |
